The aim of this expert report is:
- to provide an overview of the most important alternative energy crops and their ecological impacts on the protected resources of soil, water and biodiversity,
- to assess the ecological value of these crops for native flora and fauna, and
- to examine how framework conditions can be established to facilitate the expansion of nature-friendly cultivation of alternative energy crops.
