Against the backdrop of numerous changes to the legal framework aimed at accelerating the expansion of renewable energy and the amended Renewable Energy Directive EU 2018/2001 (RED 2023), the Networking Colloquium aims to examine the new framework in greater detail from the researchers’ perspective and facilitate a discussion on practical aspects.
The transposition of RED III into national law is currently still in the legislative process; however, it is foreseeable that numerous changes to planning and permitting laws, as well as subordinate regulations regarding species and habitat protection, will be introduced in connection with the expansion of wind and solar energy.
The aim of the event is to provide a forum for discussing a wide range of open questions relating to acceleration activities, as well as technical innovations and the latest research findings, and to bring together research projects and researchers working in this field.

Who is the networking colloquium aimed at?
The colloquium is aimed at researchers involved in departmental research conducted by the federal ministries, as well as those from non-university and university-based research institutions, and researchers working for other funding bodies and project management agencies. It is also open to interested representatives from nature conservation associations and conservation practice.
