Call for tenders: R&D project "Birds and wind energy use"

The Federal Agency for Nature Conservation is currently inviting tenders for a research project on the interface between wind power and species conservation (avifauna). Further calls for proposals will be issued shortly.

The call is entitled "Birds and wind energy use: best practice examples and planning approaches to conflict resolution". The aim is to contribute to an assessment of the collision risk and its management in approval procedures, and thus also to the reduction of obstacles, by a) analysing selected issues with regard to the management of conflicts/problems under species protection law, b) highlighting successful examples from countries and planning practice, and c) analysing approaches to planning/methodological instruments.

The tender documents can be downloaded here.

Further calls for tenders coming soon
In the course of the year, further calls for tenders from the BfN thematic priority "Nature Conservation and Renewable Energies" are expected. It is therefore recommended that you regularly visit the relevant award portals.
